John and I had a friends wedding to go to in Traverse City in August, so Manya & Grandpa volunteered to take the boys for a week.  On our way there, we stopped in Ludington.  We wanted to stop by the North Breakwater Lighthouse and get the passports.  The lighthouse is quite a walk out on a wet cement pier, I can see why Manya didn't want to go back to the car to get her purse.  So, we got out there, with my purse, then found out it was cash only.  We only had enough cash for two passports.  Oh well, it was still fun.  We didn't do the tour or climb the tower, since we didn't have the kids with us and I'm not putting this one on our map...yet.

While we were in Ludington, we stumbled upon their downtown art show.  Just as we were starting to get into lighthouses, we found Jerry Roach's booth.  He has written three books on Michigan's lighthouses, broken up by sections of the state.  They are great guide books. He has information on 123 different lighthouses.
