Spring Break 2012 - Day 3 - hotel life

(picture from hotel website)

Check out these diggs.  We stayed here for two nights.  Last year, on the way to Florida, we broke it up more and spent one night each in two different cities.  It was a lot of fun, but also a lot of unloading and reloading.  We decided to stay put in one city for two nights this time.  We stayed at the Marriott Marquis in downtown Atlanta.  It was the boys first time in a high rise and they thought it was the coolest thing ever.
On Road Trip Endeavour, we stayed in Charlotte, NC and Savannah, GA on the way to Florida. We are staying in the same place in Florida, but we wanted to explore something new on the way down.  So, we chose Atlanta this time.  The two main things we wanted to do there were the Georgia Aquarium and the World of Coca-Cola.  Our hotel objectives were that it had to be within walking distance to everything and fun for the kids.  This fit the bill.  It was their first high rise and the LOVED it!  It had glass elevators that were so much fun for them.  They liked to race the one next to us and got so excited if we won.  Sometimes it doesn't take much to please a child, I love that.

the strips in the middle are the glass elevators

inside the elevator-pretty exciting stuff!
